Additional tips to learn spelling from personal experience:
- Teach them to spell by repeating the pronunciation and prompt them to think of the next letter, allow them them to locate the letter and correct them if they find and pick a letter of the wrong casing (upper/lower casing)
- Remove a letter (or more) from after spelling the word and ask them what is/are the missing letter(s)
- Mix up the letters on the magnetic board and ask the child to form the word again
